Blue Antique Rectangle Wool Chinese - Peking Knotted Room Size 1930s Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This exquisite example of early 20th-century Chinese weaving captures the refined aesthetic of the Peking tradition. Its generous dimensions classify it among highly sought-after room size rugs, perfect for anchoring a substantial living space with historical depth. The primary appeal lies in the magnificent, saturated indigo field, a hallmark of high-quality Chinese wool. The deep, velvety tone provides a dramatic contrast to the sparse, naturalistic motifs scattered across the surface, placing this piece among the finest blue color rugs available today. The design employs classic Chinese symbolism, featuring beautifully rendered blossoms and trailing vines in soft peach and cream hues.
