Beautiful Abrash Blue Antique Persian Tribal Malayer Rug

Antique Malayer Persian Blue 1900s Rug, Circa Date: 1900s. This striking West Persian weaving showcases the robust craftsmanship typical of Malayer production. The design is dominated by a powerful, oversized central cartouche rendered in warm khaki tones, dramatically set against a field of deep indigo. This piece is a superb example of antique rugs from the turn of the century. The field design is particularly unusual, featuring horizontal bands of olive-khaki alternating with the primary navy ground, lending the piece a unique, almost modern, striated appearance. The depth and saturation of the primary dye palette elevate this weaving beyond typical scatter pieces, making it a compelling study in blue color rugs. Within the expansive central motif, intricate detailing reveals highly stylized palmettes and delicate vines, characteristic of traditional Persian weaving.
