Artistic Tribal Geometric Primitive Animal Motif Antique Persian Bakhtiari Rug

Antique Bakhtiari Hallway Runner Wool Brown Rug, Country of Origin: Iran / Persia, Circa Date: 1900s. This exceptional piece of textile art originates from the Bakhtiari tribes, renowned weavers within the tradition of Iranian Persian rugs. Characterized by robust construction and a highly geometric aesthetic, this runner exemplifies the durable and culturally rich textiles produced in the Zagros Mountains region during the early 20th century. The structure of the design employs a series of stepped, geometric panels running the length of the runner. Within these panels, highly stylized interpretations of the Tree of Life motif are rendered in deep rust and blue, anchored by a warm, light brown field. This segmented approach, while visually distinct, maintains the continuous flow characteristic of allover rugs used effectively in long corridors and transitional spaces.
