Antique Bakhtiari Small Scatter Size Wool Blue Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional example of antique rugs from Persia features the characteristic compartmentalized garden design, known as the Khesti pattern, which is highly prized among collectors of tribal weaving. The dense composition showcases the weaver's skill in rendering complex symbolic motifs within a structured framework. The central field is anchored by a profound indigo ground, providing a rich backdrop for the myriad of stylized flora and fauna motifs. This deep saturation is typical of high-quality vegetable dyes used during the 1920s, lending the piece a timeless gravitas. The palette is expertly balanced with warm terracotta borders and highlights of gold and cream, creating a sophisticated example of blue color rugs.
