Antique Chinese - Art Deco Green 1920s Wool Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional piece captures the transitional design aesthetic of the early 20th century, combining traditional Chinese motifs with the bold, simplified lines characteristic of the Art Deco movement. Such pieces are highly sought after by collectors of antique rugs. The central panel features a deep, saturated teal or forest green color rugs that provides a dramatic contrast to the vibrant magenta border. This rich color combination is typical of high-quality Chinese production from this period, utilizing lustrous wool to enhance the depth and clarity of the dye work.
