Antique Square American Hooked Rug Multicolor, Country of Origin: American USA Rugs, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional textile exemplifies the domestic artistry of American USA Rugs during the interwar period. The hooked technique provides a textural depth that captures light beautifully, lending a subtle dimensionality to the repeating field design of this square rug. The design employs a sophisticated, all-over tiled structure, creating a powerful visual rhythm across the surface. While the internal elements feature stylized scrolling foliage, the overall composition is strictly geometric rugs, reminiscent of architectural tilework. This structured approach elevates the square rug beyond simple folk art, giving it a formal presence suitable for refined interiors.
