Rectangle Navajo 1925 Small Scatter Size Wool Flat Weave Gray Antique Native American Rug, Circa Date: 1925. This exceptional example of early 20th-century Native American weaving represents the enduring legacy of the Navajo textile tradition. Its flat-weave construction emphasizes the purity of the design, making it a highly desirable piece among antique rugs. Woven from natural wool, the palette is defined by stark contrasts: a brilliant white field is juxtaposed with strong black and vibrant cochineal red lines. The use of natural, variegated wool creates subtle shifts in tone within the main geometric elements, lending depth to the overall gray color rugs aesthetic. The design employs a powerful, centralized vertical axis composed of interlocking hourglass figures.
