Antique Senneh Square Small Scatter Size Wool Yellow Rug, Circa Date: 1880s. This exquisite example of a square senneh weaving originates from the Kurdish region of Persia, renowned for its highly technical knotting and delicate wool construction. The fine weave allows for crisp, intricate detailing, which is essential to the precise execution of the design elements. The primary field color is a luminous, aged yellow, offering a warm patina that defines the piece. This subtle hue is beautifully contrasted by the bold, rust-red tones used in the central motif and borders, creating a striking example among yellow color rugs. Its practical square small scatter size makes it versatile for use in entryways or beside furniture, offering historical depth without demanding significant floor space.
