Antique Sarouk - Farahan Room Size Wool Blue Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This magnificent Persian weaving represents the finest quality of the Sarouk-Farahan tradition from the early 20th century. Its generous dimensions make it an ideal centerpiece for grand interiors, qualifying it as one of our premier room size rugs. The wool pile retains a luxurious density, indicative of its expert craftsmanship. The deeply saturated field is dominated by a rich, midnight indigo, providing a dramatic contrast to the intricate design elements. This exemplary use of color places it among our most sought-after blue color rugs. Secondary hues of soft rose, terracotta, and pale celadon articulate the complex vine work and stylized fauna, creating depth without sacrificing clarity.
