Antique Tekke Caucasus Knotted Rug, Circa Date: 1900s. This exquisite example of Central Asian weaving tradition originates from the highly skilled tekke tribes. The piece is dominated by the rich, saturated red madder dyes characteristic of these nomadic groups, establishing a powerful visual foundation. The design employs the classic *gul* motif, a highly stylized octagonal medallion repeated across the field in a strict, rhythmic structure. This adherence to ancient tribal iconography places the piece firmly within the tradition of geometric rugs. Given its narrow dimensions, this piece functions perfectly as one of our small scatter size rugs, ideal for layering or wall display. The deep, almost aubergine field is brilliantly offset by secondary colors of midnight blue and accents of warm ivory.
