Antique Red Bakhtiari Persian Allover Floral Knotted Rug

Antique Red Bakhtiari Persian Allover Floral Knotted Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional Persian weaving exemplifies the robust artistry of the Bakhtiari tribes, known for their durable structure and highly organized, dense patterning. The allover design presents a continuous tapestry of stylized blossoms and vines, characteristic of traditional antique rugs from the region. The saturated field is rendered in a magnificent, sun-drenched red hue, transitioning subtly between deep crimson and a vibrant salmon coral pink color. This warm ground provides a powerful contrast to the precise, repeating floral medallions executed primarily in deep indigo and ivory, creating a mesmerizing, kaleidoscopic effect across the surface. Framed by a wide, contrasting ivory border, the rug features grand, stylized palmettes interspersed with meandering leafy vines.
