Antique American Square Yellow Quilt: a quilt made in the United States, 72 x 78 inches (6' x 6'6"). It is pieced from fabric and quilted through to a backing, not knotted or woven like a rug. Quilts like this were made as bed coverings; today they are hung as textile art or used as a throw or bed topper. Because it is a textile, we do not recommend it for use on the floor. The design features a striking, repeating pattern of stylized floral elements, meticulously appliquéd onto a vibrant, sun-drenched field. The dominant hue is a rich yellow, placing it firmly within the category of yellow color textiles. The intentional contrast between the warm, luminous yellow background and the cool, deep blue-green leaves and maroon blossoms creates an immediate and powerful visual impact across the square surface.
