Antique American 1920s Multicolor Jewel Tones Allover Geometric Quilt: a quilt made in the United States, 82 x 99 inches (6'10" x 8'3"). It is pieced from fabric and quilted through to a backing, not knotted or woven like a rug. Quilts like this were made as bed coverings; today they are hung as textile art or used as a throw or bed topper. Because it is a textile, we do not recommend it for use on the floor. The design employs a striking geometric repetition, characteristic of the quilt style, where individual star motifs are meticulously arranged across the field. This structure creates an expansive allover pattern, ensuring visual interest is distributed uniformly from edge to edge, rather than relying on a centralized medallion. The palette is defined by sophisticated, saturated hues set against a neutral ground, achieving the desired effect of multicolor jewel tone textiles.
