Antique Large Peking Wool Blue Hand Knotted Pile Rug, Circa Date: 1890s. This exceptional piece represents the finest tradition of antique rugs from the late 19th century, showcasing a unique pictorial narrative rarely seen in room-size formats. The commanding central field is rendered in a deep, lustrous mocha hue, providing a sophisticated foundation for the intricate border design. This rich, saturated color palette defines the rug's character, making it a superb example of blue color rugs that anchor a space with warmth and gravity. The border is a masterful landscape composition, depicting rolling mountains, stylized trees, and elements resembling the Great Wall, populated by small figures and camels traversing a winding path.
