Antique N.W. Persian Small Square Scatter Size Wool Red Rug, Circa Date: 1850s. This exceptional example of N.W. Persian weaving artistry dates to the mid-19th century, showcasing the robust structure and saturated natural dyes characteristic of the region. Its highly desirable small square scatter size makes it a perfect accent piece for an intimate space or wall hanging. The palette is defined by rich reds and deep indigo, beautifully contrasted by the luminous wool foundation. The use of natural dyes ensures a remarkable depth of color, particularly evident in the highly prized red color rugs which anchor the geometric patterns across the square format against the darker hues. The design employs a striking banded structure, where rows of stylized boteh and geometric medallions are stacked vertically.
