Antique Malayer Large Room Size Wool Coral Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional Persian village piece, woven in the Hamadan region, presents a stunning, saturated field of rich coral, a highly sought-after hue among coral rugs. Its age places it firmly within the desirable category of true antique rugs. The field features a traditional Malayer allover design composed of finely drawn, stylized flowering vines and botanical elements. These repeating motifs, rendered primarily in deep indigo, teal, and soft gold, create a vibrant contrast against the warm ground, showcasing the weaver's masterful use of natural dyes. Structurally, the rug is characterized by its durable, hand-spun wool foundation and robust knotting, typical of the finest village productions of the period.
