Antique Large Allover Floral Hand Knotted Pile Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional example of early 20th-century weaving presents a captivating field of stylized botanicals, characteristic of the decorative trends seen in fine antique rugs of the period. The generous dimensions make it suitable for grand interiors. The palette is subtle and sophisticated, utilizing a soft, faded terracotta and crimson against a luminous ivory color ground. This gentle contrast highlights the intricate lattice of the design, which features repeating floral sprays and stylized trees of life that rise vertically across the entire field. Measuring impressively, this piece falls into the category of room size rugs, offering expansive coverage ideal for defining a primary living space or formal dining area.
