Antique Large Cotton Purple / Lavender Mauve Flat Weave Rug, Circa Date: 1935. This exceptional flat weave piece represents a sophisticated departure from traditional pile carpets, offering a crisp, graphic aesthetic typical of early 20th-century design movements. Its durable cotton construction speaks to the enduring quality found in fine antique rugs. The expansive central field is dominated by a delicate, cool lavender or mauve hue, a color choice that provides both softness and depth. Against this background, a repeating geometric motif of stylized stars or octagons is rendered in crisp white, creating a mesmerizing lattice effect. This piece is a superb example of mauve color rugs that integrate seamlessly into contemporary or period interiors.
