Antique Kurdish Small Scatter Size Wool Coral Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This exquisite example of antique rugs showcases the robust, deeply saturated wool characteristic of nomadic Kurdish weaving traditions. The dense knotting and resilient structure confirm its enduring quality, typical of pieces woven in the mountainous regions of Persia. The field is defined by a warm, luminous ground, presenting a sophisticated coral color palette subtly modulated by natural abrash. This subtle shift in tone adds depth and authenticity, highlighting the organic nature of the dyes used during this era and providing a rich backdrop for the complex geometry. The composition employs a highly stylized, repeating motif, often interpreted as a stylized tree or flowering plant, arranged in an organized grid.
