Antique Kurdish Small Scatter Size Wool Blue Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional example of tribal weaving presents the robust character typical of Kurdish production. Its dimensions classify it perfectly among small scatter size rugs, making it an ideal accent piece for an entryway or study. The palette is defined by a striking contrast between the deep, saturated field and the vibrant secondary colors. While the overall impression is dark, the use of rich terracotta and sienna tones prevents severity. The foundation color is a profound indigo, placing this piece among desirable blue color rugs despite the dominance of earthen hues. The central design features a powerful, stepped pole medallion anchored by stylized tree motifs.
