Antique Kashan Small Scatter Size Wool & Silk Blue Rug, Circa Date: 1925. This exquisite piece represents the zenith of early 20th-century Persian weaving, combining the durability of high-grade wool with the subtle sheen of silk highlights. It stands as a superb example among our collection of antique rugs, showcasing the technical mastery inherent to the Kashan workshops. The dimensions classify this textile as a small scatter size, making it an ideal accent piece for an entryway, hearth, or intimate study. The scale allows for the detailed rendering of the design without overwhelming a smaller space. The foundation palette relies on a rich, saturated indigo field, providing depth and contrast to the secondary colors. Characteristic of the finest city rugs, the field is densely populated with intricate palmettes, arabesques, and delicate vine work.
