Antique Kashan Small Scatter Size Wool Blue Rug, Circa Date: 1940s. This exceptional Persian piece deviates dramatically from the expected floral repertoire of Kashan, presenting instead a vibrant, detailed pictorial narrative. Its manageable dimensions classify it perfectly as a small scatter size, making it an ideal accent piece for a study or entryway where its intricate narrative can be closely appreciated. The central field features a stunning court scene, likely depicting a historical or mythological moment, rendered with remarkable figural detail. A monarch sits enthroned under a grand archway, surrounded by attendants and scholars. The rich indigo and deep navy hues dominating the background provide a powerful anchor for the composition, showcasing the masterful use of the blue color rugs for dramatic effect.
