Antique Malayer Hallway Runner Wool Gray Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional wool runner from the Malayer region of Persia represents the enduring quality and robust structure found in fine antique rugs. Its dense, hand-knotted construction ensures both longevity and a luxuriously soft hand underfoot, a testament to its village origins. The palette is defined by a striking, deep indigo field that has mellowed over time to read as a sophisticated slate, aligning it perfectly with modern gray color rugs. This muted, yet dramatic, coloration is beautifully offset by the natural, undyed tones of the stylized camel and cream medallions, providing depth without overwhelming the surrounding decor. Designed specifically for transitional spaces, this long hallway runner provides an elegant solution for long corridors or entryways.
