Antique Oushak Hallway Runner Wool Green Rug, Country of Origin: Turkey, Circa Date: 1900s. This remarkable piece exemplifies the refined aesthetic of the Oushak style, known for its large-scale, decorative motifs and softer color palettes emerging from the late 19th-century revival of Turkish weaving tradition. The composition is defined by the rich green field, which provides a luminous, almost mossy backdrop for the stylized palmettes and serrated leaves. These primary motifs are rendered in warm tones of salmon, deep gold, and indigo, creating a striking contrast against the verdant ground. A delicate, meandering vine system connects the large-scale central medallions, giving the overall design a sense of fluid movement appropriate for this exquisite runner.
