Antique Chinese - Baotou Chinese Coral 1900s Rug, Circa Date: 1900s. This exceptional Baotou piece, woven in Northern China during the early 20th century, showcases the region's distinctive blend of traditional motifs and vibrant coloration. The central field is dominated by a rich, saturated hue, placing it among the most desirable coral color rugs sought by discerning collectors. The field features a meticulously executed lattice design composed of stylized quatrefoils and rosettes, creating a dynamic, repetitive structure. This highly effective arrangement ensures that the eye is engaged across the entire surface, characteristic of allover rugs where the pattern extends uninterrupted to the border. A sophisticated series of borders frames the vibrant central panel.
