Antique Oversized Chinese - Peking Knotted Rug ornate, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional piece represents the height of early 20th-century Chinese weaving, specifically the Peking style favored for its sophisticated, open designs. Its impressive dimensions classify it as a true large oversized rug, making it a commanding centerpiece for grand interiors that require both scale and subtlety. The expansive field is rendered in a luminous, soft cream tone, providing a perfect canvas for the delicate pastel accents. This desirable ivory color palette ensures versatility, allowing the rug to harmonize seamlessly with both traditional and contemporary furnishings. Scattered across the field are stylized medallions and traditional Chinese symbols, including the auspicious Shou character, rendered in soft sage green and pale coral.
