Antique Art Deco Room Size Wool Brown, Camel Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional example of early 20th-century design captures the transitional elegance of the Art Deco movement, particularly the Chinese Deco style, which favored open fields and simplified motifs. The piece is a magnificent antique rug, offering a sophisticated foundation for any period interior. The composition is defined by its striking palette, utilizing a wide, deep brown earth tone border that frames a luminous, expansive camel-colored central field. This deliberate contrast emphasizes the field's subtle sheen and allows the minimal corner decorations—stylized vases and baskets of flowers—to achieve maximum visual impact without cluttering the space.
