Antique Art Deco Large Room Size Wool Coral Rug, Circa Date: 1935. This exceptional Chinese Art Deco piece captures the transitional aesthetic of the mid-1930s. Its generous dimensions classify it among highly desirable room size rugs, providing a vast, subtly modulated field of color that defines the space. The primary hue is a sophisticated, warm coral, exhibiting the characteristic sheen of high-quality Chinese wool. This specific shade, often categorized among coral color rugs, provides a neutral yet vibrant foundation, allowing the sparse decorative elements to truly resonate. The expansive, open field is a hallmark of the Art Deco movement's departure from dense traditional patterns. The design employs deliberate asymmetry, featuring two distinct, finely rendered floral sprays.
