Antique Art Deco Large Room Size Wool Red Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional piece captures the aesthetic zenith of the Art Deco period, characterized by its bold scale and striking composition. Designed to anchor a significant space, its generous dimensions classify it among our finest room size rugs. The field is saturated in a rich, velvety red, a deep hue that creates a chromatic drama. This intense background provides a stunning counterpoint to the sophisticated, low-relief outline carving of the motifs. The dense, luxurious wool pile reflects the superior craftsmanship and material quality typical of high-end production from this specific era. A dynamic, angular mountain or wave pattern, rendered in muted tones, dominates the center, creating a powerful vertical movement.
