Antique Amritsar Room Size Wool Ivory Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional Indian weaving represents the high quality of early 20th-century production, often mimicking classical Persian designs. As a genuine antique rug, its patina speaks to a century of history and meticulous craftsmanship. Woven from fine wool, the original ivory color palette has mellowed beautifully over time, now presenting rich tones of deep ochre and warm sepia. This sophisticated fading enhances the rug's textural depth, allowing the intricate weave structure to become more pronounced. The substantial dimensions confirm this piece as a true room size rug, ideal for anchoring a grand living space or formal dining area. The scale of the weaving allows the subtle complexity of the field design to be fully appreciated across a large expanse.
