Antique American Allover Geometric Blue 1920s Quilt: a quilt made in the United States, 66 x 77 inches (5'6" x 6'5"). It is pieced from fabric and quilted through to a backing, not knotted or woven like a rug. Quilts like this were made as bed coverings; today they are hung as textile art or used as a throw or bed topper. Because it is a textile, we do not recommend it for use on the floor. The aesthetic is clean, modern, and deeply rooted in domestic textile arts. The visual impact of this textile is immediate, defined by its striking allover geometric design. Set against a deep, saturated rich blue field, the repeating diamond motifs are rendered in a sophisticated palette of contrasting secondary colors—soft greens, pale lavenders, and muted creams. This precise arrangement creates a rhythmic, quilt-like effect across the entire surface.
