Antique American Hooked Rug Small Scatter Size Wool Coral, Circa Date: 1920s. This charming textile exemplifies the enduring tradition of American hooked rugs, a folk art form that flourished across New England and the Eastern Seaboard in the early 20th century. Crafted from durable wool, this piece offers a textural, homespun quality highly sought after by collectors of antique rugs. The field is dominated by a deep, saturated crimson, providing a dramatic backdrop for the secondary colors. The title's reference to coral is evident in the warm, nuanced tones used in the concentric circles framing the central medallion, placing it among the most desirable coral color rugs in our collection. This rich palette ensures the rug maintains a vibrant presence despite its age.
