Antique American Hooked Rug Room Size Wool Brown, Country of Origin: American USA Rugs, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional textile represents the distinctive folk artistry of American USA Rugs during the early 20th century. The substantial dimensions classify it as a true room size piece, ideal for anchoring a large living space or formal dining area. Hooked rugs from this era are celebrated for their textural depth and primitive charm. This example features a striking geometric composition of interlocking stars and diamonds, executed in a bold, graphic style. The repeating motifs create a mesmerizing allover design that draws the eye across the entire field without relying on a central medallion. Woven entirely in wool, the palette is defined by rich, earthy tones.
