Antique American Hooked Rug Canada Hooked - Loop Pile, Country of Origin: Canada, Circa Date: 1920s. This exquisite piece represents the finest folk art traditions of North America, featuring a soft, sophisticated palette characteristic of early 20th-century decorative textiles. The loop pile construction lends a textural depth to the surface, making it a highly desirable example among antique rugs. The field is defined by an elegant ogee lattice, creating repeating diamond compartments that alternate between stylized quatrefoil medallions and delicate floral sprays.
