Antique American Hooked Rug Room Size Wool Blue, Circa Date: 1940s. This exceptional example of American folk artistry utilizes the traditional hooked technique, resulting in a dense, textural surface. Its robust construction and mid-century provenance make it a desirable piece among antique rugs. The field is dominated by a deep, saturated slate blue, providing a sophisticated counterpoint to the vibrant secondary colors. This rich tonality highlights the enduring appeal of blue color rugs in interior design, offering both grounding stability and visual depth that complements a variety of furnishings. A striking, all-over geometric pattern defines the composition, featuring a precise lattice of variegated fabric strips that form repeating diamond motifs.
