Antique American Hooked Geometric Square Loop Pile Rug, Country of Origin: American USA Rugs, Circa Date: 1930s. This highly textural piece is a superb example of the American hooked rug tradition, demonstrating the resourceful artistry inherent in textiles produced by American USA Rugs makers during the Depression era. The design utilizes an allover geometric pattern, meticulously composed of triangular patches arranged to form a dynamic, repeating checkerboard. This visual complexity is enhanced by a sophisticated multicolor jewel tone palette, incorporating deep maroons, muted olives, slate blues, and warm creams, reflecting the use of salvaged or naturally dyed materials typical of the era. Dating precisely to the 1930s, this textile carries the historical weight and unique character expected of authentic antique rugs.
