$6,800.00

Antique Kurdish Persian Blue 1890s Hallway Runner Rug, Circa Date: 1890s. This exceptional piece represents the finest weaving traditions of the Kurdish regions bordering Persia during the late Qajar era. Its robust construction and vibrant, natural dyes mark it as a highly collectible example of antique rugs, showcasing the enduring artistry of 19th-century tribal textiles. The deep indigo field provides a dramatic backdrop for the complex geometric lattice work. The saturation of the primary color palette, particularly the rich blue color rugs, is achieved through traditional dyeing methods, offering a striking contrast to the terracotta, cream, and apricot accents found within the repeating medallions. Characteristic of nomadic and village weaving, the design employs a dense, repeating pattern that covers the entire field, creating a captivating visual texture.
